We met Shelley and Bryan at the Great Bridal Expo in Baltimore, MD. They were walking around with their lovely son and we struck up a conversation because we had seen them at another bridal expo and recognized them! Turns out, they were an amazing couple who knew how to have a great time. Their summer wedding was so much fun!

How did you meet?

Facebook Dating during COVID. We didn’t actually meet for 6 weeks at which time, drive thrus were opened so we went through the Starbucks drive thru, parked like cops and chatted. Taking 6 weeks to just talk and learn about each other was an entirely new experience and really accelerated our relationship.

Who popped the question and how?

Bryan popped the question in London. He planned a London trip for my birthday. Before the US v England World Cup game, he had the Uber driver take us to the site of the pink house from Love Actually (my favorite movie) where Mark holds the signs telling Juliet that he has to let her go. Bryan had a Bluetooth speaker in his pocket playing Silent Night. He had signs rolled up in his jacket sleeve of which each told me how much he loved me, like the movie, but the difference was the last sign asked me to marry him.

What was your wedding style?

Romantic

When it came to planning your wedding, what was most important to you?

The theme family. I was joining into a family with teenagers and wanted our friends and family to be a part of merging our lives together.

What was the best part of your wedding day?

Too many to describe but my favorites were: First look with the boys, first look with Bryan, being able to mingle with our friends and family before the ceremony, and our first kiss.

If you could provide a tip to another couple planning their wedding, what would it be?

Take things in stride. Only you know what was planned and if it doesn’t go exactly the way you thought, it will be ok. Periodically, take a breath, look around, and take it all in.

We loved the vibe. It was old Baltimore, meets European feel. The event staff was the best I have ever dealt with.
